phantom boundaries (2023)
phantom boundaries is an act of deconstructing a ‘room’
Found objects from the city of London are used as starting points to
fabricate sculptural elements which come together to recreate the ‘room’
Inspired by writings of Georges Perec; Species of Spaces’ where he fragments the world into its components
starting with ‘the page’. Phantom boundaries fragments a room into its recognised components,
a window
a door
a piece of furniture
and a picture on the wall
